Jeannette Cook

March 20-22, 2009

We are delighted to host Jeannette Cook for a three days of seed bead fun!  Whether you sign up for one day or all three days, the classes are challenging enough for experience beaders while allowing intermediate beaders to expand their skills.

Workshop fees are $95.00 for each one-day workshop (materials are not included).  Each session is limited to 20 students and will be filled on a first-come basis. You may view the class projects online at: www.beadyeyedwomen.com

Friday, March 20, 2009 -  MASAI SHIELD BROOCHES.   These highly stylized brooches were inspired by Lino Tagliapietra's large glass wall hangings named Masai. I love the pleasing shape and bright colors. You can make yours in bright or subtle colors to suit your personal style. Either way, you will want several! The brooches are created using Right Angle Weave over an armature. You can embellish them as much or as little as you wish. They look just as wonderful plain as they do fully adorned with beads, sequins, crystals, etc.  Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced  Prerequisite: Must know Right Angle Weave.  Students must be able to do right angle weave WITHOUT HELP.

Saturday, March 21, 2009 – THE TILES OF ANTONI GAUDI.  In the true fashion of the famous architect, Antoni Gaudi, each little beaded tile is created with swirling pathways of colorful beads. Texture and shape flows randomly across the palette using varying sizes of beads. Each tile is monochromatic and can be configured in several ways giving you the option of using them to make a wonderful necklace, bracelet or even earrings. Each tile is approximately 1" X 1" in size, so you can complete each one in a very short time."  Skill Level:  Intermediate to Advanced.  Prerequisite:  Students must know Right Angle Weave

Sunday, March 22, 2009 – IT'S HIP TO BE SQUARE. This is a fun and stunning bracelet. Combine beaded and Swarovski® Crystal encrusted squares of Right Angle Weave with Swarovski® Square Frame Crystals for a wonderful and elegant bracelet. Make a toggle clasp to button into a crystal square and the look is complete! It Really IS Hip to be Square!  Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced.  Prerequisite: Students MUST KNOW right angle weave and peyote stitch
